We grew up having this Broccoli Bacon Sweet Slaw and love the flavors. We wanted to take out the heavy laden sugar that accompanies an otherwise healthy salad.
This is a great side dish to take to any gathering where it might be sitting out a little bit. Unlike traditional salads that go soggy, this Broccoli Bacon Sweet Slaw will hold its texture for a long time. Consider taking it to your next barbecue, potluck or picnic.
This salad is know to stay good even the following day. Lets not forget the saltiness of the bacon marries perfectly with the sweetness of the craisins and dressing.
The base of this dressing uses our Whole Mayo recipe, it’s such a clean alternative to store boughten mayonnaise. Our Whole Mayo is one of our most sought after recipes because of the mild flavor and simplicity of the recipe.

If you like a light dressed salad don't add all of the dressing to your salad ingredients.
I ended up using raisins because my Whole Foods was out of Cranberries sweetened with cherry juice! I also added some finely chopped red onion. That dressing is AMAZING! So good! Definitely a new staple over here.
I have made this and about 15 versions of this with what’s been on hand, SO good!!!! Thanks!
Love it, thanks for your feedback!
I just made this salad for probably the 12th time. It is so much better than store-bought. The vegetables are more plentiful and crisper, and it’s not overly sweet. I leave out the bacon because I don’t miss it in the salad, figured I would save my bacon for something els it is so much better than store-bought. The vegetables are more plentiful and crisper, and it’s not overly sweet. I leave out the bacon because I don’t miss it in the salad and then I can have bacon elsewhere. After experimenting with the amount of dates, I find that 4 large dates are the perfect amount for my taste.
