This simple Sesame Salmon Bowl is such an easy meal to prepare and is so fresh and light. This salmon recipe is one of the first recipes we created together. We just adapted a family favorite recipe we use to make all the time and substituted healthy ingredients.
In fact this was the recipe that convinced our picky eaters that fish was yummy. If you too have a finicky eater in your house and you want them to start liking fish, try this recipe out.
The old recipe called for soy sauce and cola, we have to say it tasted amazing yet we knew it would be easy to recreate. We simple used coconut aminos in place of soy sauce. Coconut aminos is a healthier substitute for soy sauce and can be found at most grocery stores.
We also removed the cola and replaced them with dates. The dates add a sweetness to the dish. The combination of the salty coconut aminos and the sweet dates is what puts this dish over the top.
Now the simple part of this Sesame Salmon Bowl is you just add your favorite vegetables to place under the salmon. Any combination will work.
We also like to dress the vegetable bowl lightly with equal parts extra virgin olive oil and lime juice, that’s it!
Items used in Sesame Salmon Bowl:
- Zucchini zoodles
- Red cabbage
- Microgreens
- Cilantro
- Limes
We hope you enjoy this light dish and you can also get your family to start enjoying fish like we have!
